Nature Conservation, Environmental Data, and a Look into the (Digital) Future

How can digitalization and AI help make climate protection measurable? What are the intersections between nature conservation, public administration, and geodata?

At EO4Nature, we grapple with these questions every day. This week, we had the opportunity to discuss these topics as part of #ANKWoche2026.Michael Förster provided an overview of EO4Nature in a short presentation and through a poster. During the panel discussion with State Secretary Jochen Flasbarth, Gregor Weyer discussed the future role of nature-based climate protection.
