Development in Dialogue with Practice

EO4Nature is being developed in collaboration with representatives from municipalities, state and federal authorities, as well as specialized institutions.

During the three EO4Nature workshops in Bonn (DLR Project Management Agency, May 19–20, 2025), Berlin (ZUG gGmbH, November 13–14, 2025), and again in Bonn (DLR Project Management Agency, December 8–9, 2025), we were able to gather many exciting ideas and requirements for the future platform and successfully incorporate them into the development phase.

The workshops conducted so far clearly highlight a strong demand, particularly for:

• Decision support in planning processes
• Time series analyses and continuous monitoring
• Integration of users’ own technical and administrative data
• Transparent documentation and interpretation of results

These requirements are being directly integrated into the ongoing platform development. The platform is steadily taking shape: initial drafts (preliminary designs and application prototypes) have already been created during the current concept and development phase. These are continuously refined and adapted based on the needs identified in the workshops and the ongoing feedback from our pilot users.
