EO4Nature Annual Meeting at GFZ Potsdam

At the beginning of March, around 50 participants gathered at the GFZ Potsdam for the EO4Nature annual meeting to coordinate the next steps for the nationwide monitoring and application portal for Earth observation in nature conservation and natural climate protection.

EO4Nature is Germany’s nationwide monitoring and application portal for spatial observation based on Earth observation data for nature conservation and natural climate protection.

Together with partners such as FERN.Lab, the Thünen Institute, DUENE / Greifswald Moor Centre, LANUK NRW, the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG), the Technical University of Berlin, the Technical University of Dresden, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and many other collaborators from academia, industry, and public administration, we are working to integrate modern AI methods, Earth observation data, and geoinformation in a way that provides reliable insights for planning processes and ANK monitoring.

EO4Nature also stands for:

✅ open communication and exchange formats for all users in natural climate protection
